KENORA: A 54-year-old Ontario man is charged with trafficking contraband tobacco after 80,000 cigarettes were seized from a vehicle near Kenora.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped the vehicle on Highway 17 around 2 p.m. Friday. The cigarettes, worth an estimated $24,000, and a small amount of marijuana were found.
The driver, from Papineau-Cameron Township, Ont., is scheduled to appear in Kenora court in December.
