ISLAMABAD: A high level delegation of Canadian Border Service Agency’s Asia Pacific headed by Regional Director Claude St-Denis arrived on a four -day official visit.
Sources told Customs Today that during their stay in Pakistan, the Canadian delegation will also visit Karachi and will hold talks with high officials of the Pakistan Customs. Sources said that before concluding their official visit the Canadian delegation will also call on Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Nisar Mohammad Khan.
Prior to this Canadian delegation held an important meeting with their Pakistani counterparts. The meeting was held in Canadian embassy. Prominent among those who attended the meeting includes Chief International Customs Zubair Yousafani, Chief F&C Customs FBR Ikhlaq Ahmad Khattak, Director General Training and Research Ghulam Ahmad, Chief Collector North Sarwat Tahira Habib, Collector Customs MCCI Dr. Arsalan, Additional Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Rawalpindi Mohammad Saleem and Fayyaz Chidhar.
During their meeting both sides discussed different ways to enhance cooperation between Pakistan and Canada. After their visit a high level delegation of FBR will also pay official visit to Canada.
