LAREDO: Two separate busts by Customs and Border Protection net almost 11 pounds of heroin at the Lincoln Juarez Bridge.
In the first bust agents found 79 oval shaped pellets that contained heroin, strapped on the abdomen of a man arriving on a bus from Mexico.
The man was sent to a medical facility where an additional 11 balloons were found inside the man’s body.
In the second bust 199 pellets were found on the body of a man from California.
The drugs in both cases were valued at almost half a million dollars.
