CCPO Capt Amin visits LCCI chief Mumtaz, assures security to business community

LAHORE: The Punjab Police Department and private sector will work hand in hand to defeat the day-by-day rising crimes.

The decision was made at a meeting between the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Captain (r) Muhammad Amin and the LCCI President Ijaz A. Mumtaz here at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry on Tuesday. LCCI Senior Vice President Mian Nauman Kabir and Vice President Syed Mahmood Ghaznavi also spoke on the occasion.

CCPO said that desired results cannot be achieved without being on one page against social crimes and terrorism. He said that police and all segments of society in general and business community in particular have to play their role in this regard. He said all individuals of society should keep a vigilant eye on anti-social elements.

CCPO informed the participants that stringent measures were being taken against the land grabbers and extortionists. He said that Punjab government has passed an Ordinance that tenant would be registered with the concerned police station within three days.

He said that the law & order situation could be well in control with in one month once the deweaponization of the city is carried out.

Awami Tahafuz Committees have been formed to ensure the safety of masses. There is no qabza/bhatta group exists in the city.

He said that strategy has been evolved and measures are afoot to change the thana culture. He said that 160 admin officers have been appointed in all the police stations of the city to take care of the complainant.

Elaborating the point, he said that the two admin officers had been appointed at each police station.
