ISLAMABAD: The Punjab and the federal governments have allegedly bypassed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) laws in the launching of metro bus project.
According to sources, prior to starting any project in the federal capital NOC and and formal approval from the CDA board is required.
However both the provincial and federal govt sought no approval from the CDA board and neither obtained an NOC for changing the master plan of the federal city.
As per law, an NOC from CDA Board and Cantt Division is required before making mega changes in the master plan of the capital and any project implemented without the NOC has no legal standing.
