ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has asked the federal government to give Rs20 million for restoration of traffic signals, which were damaged during the construction of metro bus route.
The sources said that the restoration of Jinnah Avenue traffic signals will cost over Rs2.8 million, Ibn-e-Sina signals Rs2.67 million and Expressway Chowk traffic signals will cost Rs2.38 million.
According to the sources, the civic agency was facing shortage of funds to repair the damaged signals by its own and it has been decided to approach the federal government to release funds to finish of work on them before the inauguration of the metro bus service
The sources further said that piles of dug-up dirt and mud that has strewn along several roads in the federal capital also could not be removed neither by the CDA not the RDA.
