CDA takes action against illegal cattle market

ISLAMABAD: Acting on its anti-encroachment drive especially against illegal cattle markets in Islamabad, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has directed the department concerned to remove cattle market from Sector I-11 with the help of ICT police.

According to a press release, the directions were passed during a meeting, attended by Director General Administration, Director Municipal Administration, Director Enforcement, Director Security, officers of Islamabad Capital Administration (ICT) Police and other senior officers of the authority.

The meeting discussed the issue at length and decided that CDA in collaboration with ICT and Islamabad Police will remove illegal cattle market from I-11 in light of the orders of Islamabad High Court. CDA Enforcement and Environment teams would carry out operation with the support of ICT and Islamabad Police. The meeting decided to close all entry points of I-11 so the movement of animals and fodder could be restrained.
