CEC issues election schedule of Preventive Service Officers’ Association, Club

KARACHI: The schedule of the upcoming elections of the Preventive Service Officers’ Association and Preventive Service Officers’ Club has been issued by the office of the competent authority i.e. Assistant Collector and Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Adnan Rafiq.

According to the schedule, the elections are going to be held on May 15, 2014. Filing of nomination papers for the election would be held from 25th to 30th April, up to 5 in the evening. Scrutiny of the nomination papers would be held on May 2. Withdrawal of the nomination papers would be possible until May 5. Final list of the candidates would be displayed on May 6 and polling would be held on May 15.

According to the schedule, the intending candidates may obtain nomination forms on payment of Rs 2000 per form from the office of the Superintendent Human Resource Department during office hours on any working day up to April 25.

Casting of votes will be from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at three polling stations located at the offices of Superintendent Human Resource Department at 5th Floor, Customs House; Superintendent (Drug Enforcement Cell-Jinnah International Airport) at Air Freight Unit and Superintendent Port Muhammad Bin Qasim at Port Qasim, Karachi.

As per further details, counting of votes will start immediately after voting is over at aforementioned polling stations under the supervision of respective Superintendents and in presence of the candidates or their authorized representatives.
