Census of Manufacturing Industries

SIALKOT: Pakistan Bureau of Statistic (PBS) is conducting five-yearly census of Manufacturing Industries (CMI) across Pakistan for the financial year 2015-16 in collaboration with its provincial partners.

Official said that in Punjab the industries, commerce and investment department of Punjab was conducting CMI in liaison with Urban Sector Planning and Management Service Unit.

As per standard operating procedures of the census methodology official enumerators will visit all industrial units sites in the province for the purpose of data collection on android application.

The enumerators will hand over the questionnaire forms with proper format to industrial units representatives’ to be filled in their own premises and then return them to enumerator.

PBS urged all the concerned to extend their full cooperation to enumerators in this data collection exercise. The cooperation of the all concerned in this regard is vital as the result of census will be supportive in future policy directions and investment decisions for Punjab, sources added.
