Customs Central Region’s officers bid farewell to Rozi Khan Burki, Mukarram Jah

LAHORE: The Customs Central Region hosted a farewell reception in honor of the outgoing Chief Collector of Customs Rozi Khan Burki and Collector of Customs Mukarram Jah Ansari a at the Customs House the other day.

Former Chief Collector of Customs Rozi Khan Burki is already promoted to BS-22 and was transferred to Islamabad as Member HRM while Mukarram Jah Ansari posted as Collector at the Port Bin Qasim.  While bidding farewell to both the officers, Collector of Customs Multan Serfraz Waraich said that both the officials are of high caliber and the FBR gave them the new and important slots being convinced by their competence and hardworking .

He added that he found Burki as a man of high intellect who has diversified knowledge of almost all the subjects including linguistic, literature, science and theology.

Waraich said that the outgoing chief collector extended his full support and guidance to the juniors enabling them to achieve many milestones.  He added that Collector of Customs Mukarram Jah Ansari is forward looking officers who has good understanding of challenges of department.

“Govt analyzing his high caliber has given him the responsibilities at the Post Qasim which is an evidence of his competence, he said”.  Rozi Khan Burki said that it was a taught in the beginning when he assumed charge as chief collector but after some time with the support of his team he over come all the troubles within just one month.  He lauded Serfraz Waraich, Mukaram Jah and whole of his team‘s support, corporation and hardworking in achieving ambitious targets.  “It is due to the blessing of Allah Almighty otherwise it is next to difficult to get to 22-BS especially in Customs Department.  Director Imran Saud Ahmed presented books on the life of Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH to both officer.  Collector of Customs Dr Zulfiqar Younis, Collectro Appeals Asif Mehmood Jah, Collector Muhammd Sadiq, Collector Faisalabad Ch Zulfiqar, Additional Collector Amir Rasheed, Tayyaba Kayani Additional Director Sadia Munib, Deputy Director Abbas Ali Babar, Deputy Director Muhammad Ilyas and others were present on the occasion.
