Central region to celebrate International Customs Day in Lahore

LAHORE: The Customs Central Region will celebrate International Customs Day today on January 26.

Officers of the Customs central region from Multan, Faisalabad, Lahore Appraisement, Lahore Preventive directorates and Customs Intelligence will participate.

Flag hoisting ceremony will be held at the Customs House Nabha Road while destruction of contraband good and articles will be held at Wagah.

Chief Collector of Customs Rozi Khan Burki will be the chief guest while the officers who showed outstanding performance will be awarded certificates.

The customs authorities have also invited heads of trade bodies and president of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the occasion.

On the occasion, a literary function in connection with International Customs Day will also be held and famous literary figure Amjad Islam Amjad will be the guest of honor
