Central Region’s excise duty collection up 77pc

LAHORE: The collection of federal excise duty (FED) by Customs Central Region has increased by 77 percent during April 2016.

As per details, the Customs Appraisement collected Rs 14 million under the head of federal excise duty against proposed target of Rs 11 million while Customs Preventive collected Rs 46 million against Rs 10 million target.

The data showed that the Multan collectorate gathered Rs 25 million against target of Rs 19 million while Faisalabad collectorate declined from Rs 7 million to Rs 0.3 million.

Overall the Central Region collected Rs 86 million under the head of FED against Rs 49 million up 77 percent against the assigned target for the month of April 2016.
