ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar reviewed progress on the privatisation plan and reform of public sector enterprises.
The FM chaired a meeting which reviewed the recommendations of the Privatisation Commission’s Board regarding the divestment of the Heavy Electrical Complex. The members on the occasion raised some queries about the proposed deal. The finance minister directed the Chairman PC to clarify issues raised urgently.
The minister directed for the CCoP meeting to be reconvened this week for further consideration of the recommendations of the PC Board in the light of fresh inputs.
He also presided over a meeting on the Public Sector Enterprise Reform Project at the finance division. It was apprised about overall context of this project and ongoing efforts of different ministries and organisations for reforming PSEs in Pakistan
