FBR Chairman Dr Irshad will inaugurate new office of FBR Foundation today

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Dr Irshad will inaugurate the newly established office of the FBR Foundation here at the Customs Collectorate on June 22, 2017 (today).

Sources told Customs Today that the chairman will also inspect the customs squad parade whereas the customs squad will present guard of honour to the chairman, adding that chairman will cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Foundation’s new office on the occasion.

Sources said that the chairman will also address the customs officers and will also brief the participants about the importance of the FBR Foundation. Sources added that Member Customs Zahid Khokar, Chief Collector North Sarwat Tahira Habib, Collector Islamabad Dr Arslan and FBR Foundation Chairman Saleem Ranjha will also be present on the occasion.

Sources said that the FBR Foundation has been built to assist the retired employees with accommodation facilities which may include housing projects, maintenance of hostel facilities. The foundation will welcome contributions from government, other bodies and individuals.

Sources said that FBR Foundation will also raise funds for the aims and objects of the Foundation through voluntary contributions by beneficiaries adding that the FBR Foundation will work to defray all proper costs, charges and expenses of, and incidental to, the administration of the Foundation.

Sources said that FBR Foundation will provide rest houses or centers which the beneficiaries may use for rest and recreation, at such terms and conditions as the Board may decide whereas Foundation will provide any other facility or help which the Board may decide from time to time for the welfare of the beneficiaries.
