Chairman FBR Nisar personally hears case of DC Aitzaz Ahsan

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Nisar Mohammad Khan has personally heard case of Deputy Collector Customs Peshawar Dr Mohammad Aitzaz Ahsan.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Collector is facing charges of misconduct and misusing official capacity. Sources said that Member Administration FBR has already concluded an inquiry against the official and recommended stern action against him.

He also authorized the deputy collector to file an appeal against the decision. After receiving the inquiry report, the FBR chairman summoned Deputy Collector Aitzaz Ahsan in his office to present his point of view on the charges leveled against him.

Sources said that Chairman FBR will announce his decision about the case in near future after consultation with Member Administration FBR Majid Qureshi.
