Chairman FBR Nisar to personally hear case of Naeem Babar today

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Nisar Mohammad Khan will personally hear a case against officer of BS-18 Naeem Babar today.

Sources told Customs Today that Inland Revenue Officer Naeem Babar is facing charges of misconduct and violation of official rules and regulations. Sources said that after receiving complaints against the official, Member Administration Majid Qureshi constituted an inquiry against him and suspended his performance allowance.

Inquiry committee also suspended his posting in field formations and recommended stern disciplinary action against him.

Now Member Administration FBR Majid Qureshi forwarded the case to chairman FBR for final decision. Chairman FBR summoned Naeem Babar in his office on Friday (today) to explain his point of view on charges leveled against him along with solid evidence to prove his innocence.

Sources said that Naeem Babar already requested chairman FBR to consider his case sympathetically and purely on human grounds. It is necessary to mention here that Naeem Babar will bring documentary evidence to prove his innocence.
