Chairman Nisar to hear appeal of customs officer on June 20

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Nisar Muhammad Khan will hear an appeal filed by BS-19 officer of Pakistan Customs, Ejaz Badshah, on June 20 and decide the fate of the case.

As per details, Ejaz is facing charges of violation of departmental rules and regulation and misuse of powers. A report against him has been prepared in which inquiry officer has recommended initiating legal proceeding against the officer after finding the allegation as true. The accused officer could face major penalty in the case.

In order to defend the allegation against him, the officer filed an appeal before the chairman. Therefore, the FBR chairman giving him a last chance to present his stance will hear case on June 20. If the officer could not satisfy the chairman about his innocence he would have faced the major penalty.

It is important to mention here that FBR chairman is determined to get rid of corrupt officers.
