Chairman Nisar to hear appeal of DC Shafiq today

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Nisar Mohammad Khan will hear an appeal of Regional Tax Office (RTO) Deputy Commissioner Shafiqur Rehman on Tuesday (today).

An inquiry was initiated against Rehman for misuse of powers, violation of rules and regulation. The investigation officer submitted a report to the FBR Administration for further action.

The officer after the investigation report filed an appeal before the chairman and rejected the allegation levelled against him. Therefore, the FBR chairman has directed him to present documented evidence against the allegations.

Now, DC Shafiq will appear before the chairman on Tuesday to defend himself while the chairman will announce the decision later.
