Chairman visits under construction site of NAB headquarter

ISLAMABAD: Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Qamar Zaman Chaudhry on Monday visited under-construction site of office building for Bureau’s Headquarters in Islamabad and reviewed the physical progress made on ground.

During the briefing, it was informed by Director General NAB that in light of the directions of Chairman during his last visit on under construction site, the work is in progress and structure of basement, lower ground floor, ground floor, first floor, second floor and third floor have been completed as per schedule.

Roof of the 4th floor, water interception system, aluminium foil fixing, bituminous sheet around the basement and work on front podium is under progress.

The Chairman directed that all efforts should be made to complete the 4th floor on June 25, 2015, ensuring all quality standards in accordance with PPRA rules.

He directed the DG NAB Headquarters, DG of PWD, Consultants and Contractor to complete remaining construction work of the project according to the approved schedule.

He said there will be no compromise on quality of material and progress of the construction work and reiterated that all formalities in tendering/award of remaining construction works be completed transparently in accordance with government rules/policy.
