Chambers voice concern over too much taxes on businessmen

SIALKOT: The Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) has hosted the first conference of the presidents of All Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry at Gujranwala.

The key speakers were of the view that too much tax has made it hard for the business community to continue their businesses. They demanded that government should decrease the number of taxes, avoid levying new taxes on businessmen and should focus its full attention to expand the tax net instead of over burdening the existing taxpayers.

Addressing to the participants, Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) President Sheikh Nouman Salahuddin said that the prevailing political chaos and mayhem has caused the great financial losses to the business community as the foreign buyers have cancelled and diverted their import orders from Pakistan to the other countries.

 

All Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry unanimously passed a resolution regarding working for the revival of the economy and stability in the country, adding that the business community of the country would never allow the politicians to create hurdles in the way of economic stability in the country. The conference declared that only the rule of law and democracy could guarantee the development of national economy.

The president of KCCI Abdullah Zaki, LCCI Vice President Kashif Anwar, ICCI President Shaban Khalid, Dr. SCCI President Sarfraz Bashir, RCCI President Shumail Daud, FCCI President Suhail Bin Rashid, GCCI President Tariq Bilal Malik, MCCI President Khawaja Muhammad Usman, KPKCCI President Zahid Ullah Shinwari and others participated in the conference.
