Govt, FBR to transfer senior officials after Eid

KARACHI: The federal government and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is expected to transfer senior officials after Eidul Azha, it is learnt here.

According to details, the government and the FBR are mulling bringing some changes in the top ranked officers of the Pakistan Customs, Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation, Inland Revenue and Regional Tax Office (RTO).

The sources informed Customs Today that the FBR officers of grade-20 and grade-19 would likely to be transferred across the country.

The sources further said that the chief collector Appraisement South, Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation-FBR and commissioners of Inland Revenue (IR) would likely to be replaced after Eidul Azha.

Replying to a query, the sources said that the changing of the high-ups are likely in order to ensure transparency and to enhance the performance of the departments.

The sources further said that the federal government has decided to bring some positive changes in the department.
