OTTAWA: Chevrolet has once again jumped into the race of mid-size pickup truck with it all new Colorado 2015. Chevrolet hoped to have a big impact on the market share of Toyota and Ford. The new Chevrolet Colorado is available in the markets with the staring price of $20,130.

Colorado is officially in the midsize market segment, the truck has actually been noted for its proportions by many reviewers, and according to some, it’s a bit arguable if it should even be classified as a midsized truck. Still, that’s the official designation, and its big size should let it make quite the splash in this market. Chevrolet have been very active in promoting their new truck as well, especially around the Super Bowl, when we saw various ads that were widely discussed by fans online.

And while a few reviewers have questioned the public demand for a truck of this type right now, pretty much everyone seems convinced of the 2015 Colorado’s inevitable success. Chevrolet have done a lot to improve the design of the truck compared to previous versions, and it’s now a smoother, yet more aggressive experience on the road, one that should please many types of drivers. Both those looking for some extra utility in their trucks, as well as those who want to enjoy a stylish, well-designed powerful vehicle, should see something attractive in the new Colorado.

How much will it set back its buyers? The new Colorado’s pricing starts at $20,130 for the rear-drive extended cab model, which has a 200 horsepower 2.5 liter engine with four cylinders, and a six-gear manual transmission. There’s also a version with automatic transmission, which starts at $22,445 for the base model, which also comes with a four-cylinder engine. Then there’s the slightly more expensive 3.6 liter V6 engine with its 305 horsepower, which will add $1,235 to the price of the truck.

Last but not least, those who want a crew cab with a four-wheel-drive system can pay $30,005 for that model, which also comes with a V6 engine and should offer the best performance of all variants of the new Colorado. Chevrolet are giving buyers plenty of options, so there should be no excuses for those who’ve had their eyes on the Colorado line for a while – this is a great offer that should please many buyers.

All in all, even though some were skeptic towards the new Colorado, it doesn’t really deserve that – for all it’s worth, Chevrolet are trying really hard to impress customers, both their old fans as well as potential newcomers to the club.
