Chief Collector Rashid Shaikh asks officials to keep offices open for extended time

KARACHI: Chief Collector Appraisement South Abdul Rashid Sheikh has instructed Model Customs Collectorates Appraisement West and East Collectors to ensure collection of duties/taxes on September 29 and 30, 2015 till 8pm as per the decision of the Federal Board of Revenue.

According to an official order, all Model Customs Collectorates falling in Appraisement South, will remain open on Tuesday, September 29 and Wednesday, September 30, 2015 till 8pm for collection of duties/taxes.

The Collector, MCC Appraisement East Karachi will coordinate with management of State Bank of Pakistan and National Bank of Pakistan for providing banking facility on mentioned dates in all its designated branches to ensure collection of duties and taxes, it says.

The Collector MCC Appraisement West Karachi shall inform all stake holders (clearing agents, KCCI, FPCCI and other trade and industry bodies) about Boards above decision. He will also advise port authorities and terminal operators to synchronize their working accordingly, the letter added.
