Chief Collector Appraisement-South Rashid Shaikh holds meeting to review revenue collection status

KARACHI: Chief Collector Appraisement South Abdul Rasheed Shaikh has called a meeting of the collectors of all three field formation Collectorates at his office.

Collectors of Customs Collectorates Appraisement-West Dr Farid Qureshi, Customs Appraisement-East Ashad Jawad and Customs Port Muhammad Bin Qasim Mukarram Jah were present on the occasion.

During the meeting, the Chief Collector-Appraisement South Abdul Rashid Shaikh urged the collectors of field formation Collectorates to hold month-wise revenue related meetings in order to know about the revenue collection status, adding that the performance of the officials of the Collectorates would be evaluated on regular basis.

The collectors of all field formation collectorates were also presented the revenue collection status in the first two months of the current fiscal year2016-17.

The Chief Collector-Appraisement South Abdul Rasheed Shaikh was expressed his satisfaction over the recent revenue collection report, however, the Chief Collector Appraisement South asked the authorities concerned to accelerate the pace of revenue collection in future.

During the meeting, the Chief Collector Appraisement South Abdul Rasheed Shaikh further informed the authorities concerned of all three field formation Collectorates that the chief collector office has imposed ban on transfers/postings of appraisers and examination from one Collectorate to another Collectorate.

The chief collector further made it clear that the transfers and postings of the appraisers and examiners would be allowed within the Collectorates.

The Chief Collector Appraisement South Abdul Rasheed Shaikh further asked the authorities concerned to keep vigilant eye on tax evasion and mis-declaration cases.
