Chief Collector Appraisement South seeks details of audit-paras settlement from Collectorates

KARACHI: Chief Collector Appraisement South Abdul Rashid Shaikh has directed the collectors of Appraisement West, Appraisement East and Port Muhammad Bin Qasim to make immediate arrangements to settle the audit paras sent by the Directorate General of Internal Audit for settlements.

According to details, the FBR chairman has sought details of audit-paras’ settlements during the fiscal year 2016-17 by the Chief Collector-Appraisement South.

Reacting upon the query, the chief collector has sought complete details of the audit-paras settlements by the collectors of all three field formations from July 1 to December 31 during fiscal year 2016-17.

Sources informed Customs Today that the chief collector also sought details of show-cause notices served to importers for recovery of outstanding taxes.
