PESHAWAR: Chief Collector Customs North Region Dr. Asif Jah Mehmood has inaugurated the new established Azakhail Dry Por.
During his visit, Chief Collector North Dr. Asif Jah Mehmood examined the Dry Port and started the Customs clearance. Collectorate of Customs Appraisement Collector Muhammad Saleem and Collector Preventive Kamran Ahmed, Additional Collector Adnan Iqbal Sawati, Khayal Mohammad, Assistant Collector Dry Port Jaweria Shahid and other officers were present on the occasion.
It is necessary to mention here that Azakhail Dry Port is established on the demand of KPK’s trader community by Pakistan Railways at Pir Pai, Azakhail, Naushehra. Prime Minister Imran Khan had formally inaugurated the dry port on January 10, 2020, however the port started operations on January 13, 2020.
