Chief Collector Customs Samaira bids farewell to Chairman Nisar

LAHORE: Chief Collector Customs (Central) Madam Samaira Nazir Siddiqui and Officers of the Pakistan Customs Service (Central Region) bade a farewell to Chairman FBR Nisar Mohammad Khan at the Custom House Lahore on Saturday. He is going to retire soon. Nasir Masroor Ahmad, member customs, FBR, also graced the occasion.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Collector Customs (Central) Madam Samaira Nazir paid rich tributes to Nisar Muhammad Khan for his valuable services rendered to the department. She also praised the leadership and professional excellence displayed by Nisar Muhammad Khan during his tenure as chairman FBR. She specifically lauded his role in achieving the revenue target of more than Rs three trillion for the first time in the history of the FBR.

The member, customs, FBR, speaking on the occasion, shared his views on the glorious career achievements of Nisar Muhammad Khan. He thanked the chairman for making FBR one of the most vibrant entities in the federal government.

The chairman, FBR, also speaking on the occasion, shared his experiences during his 32 years long career in civil service. He stressed the need for infusing qualities of hard-work, dedication and service in the personalities of young officers so as to serve the country.

Collector MCC (Preventive) Lahore Zulfiqar Younas also hosted a ceremony in honour of Nisar Muhammad Khan and also appreciated his dedication, competence and principles that he has earned during his career as a role model for the senior and young officers alike. A large number of retired and serving officers participated in the function.

At the end, the chief collector presented shields and gifts to the chairman FBR & member customs. The chairman also signed the Custom House Visitor Book and appreciated the arrangements made by the officers of the Collectorate of Customs Preventive Lahore.
