ISLAMABAD: The Model Custom Collectorate arranged a farewell party in honour of the outgoing nine officials of the executive cadre.
As per details, Customs North Chief Collector Sarwat Tahira Habib was the chief guest of the ceremony while Customs Intelligence and Investigation Director General Imtiaz Ali Khan also attended the party on special request of the customs officials.
Islamabad Customs Collector Zeba Hai, Additional Collector Headquarters Abdul Waheed Marwat, Deputy Collector Shahid Jan, Customs Adjudication Deputy Collector Ubaidullah, Customs Intelligence Deputy Director Khaldoon ul Haq, Assistant Collector hq Sadia Usman, Customs Preventive Assistant Collector Tahir Iqbal Khatak, Superintendent Zargam Dil and other officials were also present.
The retired officials named Qaiser Raza Cheema, Mumtaz Shah, Khalid Mahmood Durani, Muhammad Akram Shiekh, Asif Hussain and others were awarded shields for their services by Chief Collector Sarwat Tahira, Director General Imtiaz Ali Khan and Collector Zeba Hai.
Expressing their emotions, the retired officers said that they could not forget the honour and respect which they received after joining the customs, adding that they wanted to see the Islamabad Customs more developed in the future.
They also praised the Customs North chief collector and Customs Intelligence DG for making efforts to upgrade the superintendents’ scale from BS-16 to 17. DG Imtiaz said that he extended his best wishes to retired officers, adding that they will always remain part of the customs.
Collector Zeba Hai said that the balance and traditions, which have been set by Islamabad Customs could not be observed anywhere, adding that the officers of the collectorate always preffered to work with coordination. She also appreciated the performance of Customs Intelligence DG.
Zeba Hai said that former FBR chairman Tariq Bajwa had also appreciated the staff of Islamabad Customs, adding that the performance on the same track will be continued.
