Chief Collector Sarwat Tahira to open Customs Welfare Shop on 8th

ISLAMABAD: Sarwat Tahira Habib, Chief Collector, Collectorate North Region, will inaugurate a Customs Welfare Shop of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad on Wednesday (8th of March).

Officials informed Customs Today that consumer and other miscellaneous goods due shall be offered for sale at the shop. The FBR instructed the Islamabad Customs that operating procedure for the welfare shop will be strictly followed.

A four-member management committee will be constituted which will consist of additional collector (HQ) as president, deputy /assistant collector (HQ), state warehouse superintendent and Customs House officers.

Under the rules for the shop, all decisions of the committee shall be signed by the president and all other members. Goods shall be received by the Customs Welfare Shop from the Customs State Warehouses of the collectorate after payment of all government taxes, with a proper inventory to be prepared in duplicate.

All goods received by the shop shall be duly entered in the stock book and ledger, and daily sale statement shall be prepared. The sale shall be entirely against cash payment and credit sale shall not be allowed under any circumstances.

Sale proceeds shall be deposited into the designated bank within 24 hours against the current account in the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) to be operated by the president of the committee constituted under this order and the next senior officer by appointment of the committee.

Earlier, Customs North Region Chief Collector Sarwat Tahira had inaugurated the welfare shop at the Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar.
