Chief Collector Zahid Khokar lauds performance of Gwadar Customs

KARACHI: Customs Enforcement Chief Collector Muhammad Zahid Khokhar has lauded the performance of Model Customs Collectorate, Gwadar for thwarting an attempt to smuggle foreign origin cigarettes worth Rs 5.29 million

The chief collector called on Gwadar Customs Collector Saeed Akram and appreciated the efforts being made by the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) of the said collectorate.

During the meeting, the chief collector asked about the strategies being adopted by the Gwadar Customs to curb smuggling. Zahid Khokhar also directed the collector to speed up the operations against smuggling cartels in the region.

He further asked the collector to investigate the said smuggling case deeply in order to unveil the real faces behind such smuggling activities.

On the occasion, the chief collector further said that he will recommend reward money for the ASO team, which took part into the operation.
