KARACHI: Chief Collector, Enforcement South Muhammad Zahid Khokhar has inaugurated the first ever Ca 1st Canine Breeding and Training Center at Canine Unit, Civil Aviation Colony (AFU) Airport Karachi.
The breeding and training centre established at AFU would improve the performance and strength of the sniffing dogs in Canine Unit. The project is the initiative and vision of the worthy collector Customs Preventive Collector S M Tariq Huda.
The Canine Unit is already having eight sniff dogs which are performing sniffing jobs at AFU, JIAP, Port Muhammad Bin Qasim Collectorate and Karachi Seaport. They will perform the search/sniffing jobs even on ships and aircrafts.
The inauguration of this unit would meet the ever increasing requirements of sniffer dogs and would thereby greatly facilitate/lesson the burden of work load on the existing trained dogs.
