Chief Collector Zeba Hai presents shield to Chinese Counsel-General for strengthening friendship

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Appraisement held a ceremony at Mughalpura Dry Port to award certificates to customs officials who successfully completed Chinese language course. Chief Collector Customs Central Region Zeba Hai Azhar was the chief guest on the occasion.

Addressing the participants, Collector Jamil Nasir Khan said that Customs Appraisement and TEVTA signed an accord on March 18, 2018 to teach Chinese language to customs officials. He said that this course is completed in ten weeks. He said this course will help a lot to customs officials as China Pakistan Economic Corridor is about to complete. He said that most of the consignments are being imported from China so Chinese language will help understand actual weight and valuation of consignment.

Counsel-General of China in Lahore Du Genqi said on the occasion that China and Pakistan are enjoying historical friendship and taking measures to expand people to people contacts. He lauded the services of Chief Collector Zeba Hai Azhar and Collector Appraisement Jamil Nasir Khan for promotion of Chinese language. At the end of ceremony, Chief Collector distributed certificates among participants of Chinese language course.

She also presented a shield to Counsel-General of China in recognition of his services for strengthening Pakistan-China friendship. She said that Pakistan and China friendship is higher than Himalaya mountains and getting stronger with the passage of every day. She expressed the hope that Counsel-General of China will continue to play his due role in promoting brotherly relations between the two countries in future also.
