In this regard the FBR circulated a notification to all tax departments that the finance division was required following information immediately:

  1. Total number of manual returns received as on November 30, 2017.
  2. Total number of manual returns entered in the system as on November 20, 2017.

iii. Total number of manual returns yet to be entered in the system, returns received as on November 30, 2017.

FBR sources said that a large number of returns received manually were not entered to the system, which would make the number of total returns much larger. So far electronically return received by the FBR as of November 30, 2017 was 991,000.
