BEIJING: The holders of trademarks “ADIDAS”, “NIKE” and “PUMA” confirmed with Xiamen Customs that 14,824 pairs of leisure shoes with aforesaid trademarks, intercepted by affiliated Dongdu Customs House, are all infringing on IPR and therefore they applied for Customs enforcement of IPR protection. It was the first infringement case seized by Dongdu Customs House since December 30 last year.

Recently, a trading company in Fujian declared to the Customs House for exporting leisure shoes to Central America. By inspection, the Customs found that the company failed to declare “ADIDAS” trademark printed on 8,728 pairs of those shoes, “NIKE” trademark on 5,400 pairs, and “PUMA” trademark on 696 pairs, totally worth USD150,000.
