BEIJING: China will offer tax incentives to logistics firms, in a bid to further encourage the industry. The Ministry of Finance announced that tax relief will be provided to urban land measuring at least 6,000 square meters that is used for storing agricultural and mineral products. This tax cut will be effective from the beginning of 2017 until the end of 2019. Companies entitled to lower rates will receive a credit from the beginning of this year. The Chinese logistics industry has been growing steadily in recent years, with gross revenue of CNY7.9 trillion (USD1.145bn) in 2016.
