China sees Pakistan as pole of attraction for foreign investors

LAHORE: Chinese company Cheezmall (Private) Limited CEO Aurangzaib Khan has said that good governance along with a much-improved security situation has made Pakistan a pole of attraction for foreign investors, above all China.

CEO Aurangzaib Khan expressed these view during signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of his company with Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT). PBIT Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ms Amena Cheema was also present on the occasion.

Aurangzaib Khan praised the PBIT and the Punjab government for its focus on creating a business-friendly environment in Pakistan.

Aurangzaib Khan said that Cheezmall was a premier online shopping service provider company based in Shanghai. The company, which has already established an office in Islamabad, was looking to expand their operations in Pakistan, he said, asserting that Cheezmall was particularly interested in collaborating with PBIT on various e-commerce projects.

While, Ms. Cheema briefed the delegation on the tremendous potential that existed regarding e-commerce in Pakistan. She noted that a large number of Pakistanis had access to internet and that foreign companies should take advantage of the opportunities created by this development
