HONG KONG: China stocks climbed for a second successive day in early trade Wednesday, in line with a regional advance and following a strong lead from Wall Street as investor fears over China ease.
And in mainland China the Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.38 per cent, or 12.10 points, to 3,182.55.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, added 0.51 per cent, or 8.82 points, to 1,750.36.
