BEIJING: China stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Mobile and Oil Equipment Services & Distribution sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite declined 0.76%, while the SZSE Component index fell 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Jonjee Tech (SS:600872), which rose 10.03% or 1.980 points to trade at 21.730 at the close. Meanwhile, Tyan Home (SS:600807) added 10.03% or 1.970 points to end at 21.620 and Minfeng Paper (SS:600235) was up 10.02% or 1.120 points to 12.300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sh Duolun (SS:600696), which fell 7.83% or 0.990 points to trade at 11.650 at the close. Jinling (SS:600621) declined 7.33% or 1.360 points to end at 17.200 and Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Co Ltd (SS:600688) was down 6.22% or 0.650 points to 9.800.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Financial Street Holdings Co Ltd (SZ:000402) which rose 2.62% to 14.11, AVIC Aircraft Co Ltd (SZ:000768) which was up 2.61% to settle at 34.60 and Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Town Co Ltd (SZ:000069) which gained 2.57% to close at 10.37.
The worst performers were Changjiang Securities Co Ltd (SZ:000783) which was down 3.89% to 17.54 in late trade, Pangang Group Vanadium Titanium & Resources Co Ltd (SZ:000629) which lost 3.25% to settle at 5.35 and Shanxi Xishan Coal and Electricity Power Co Ltd (SZ:000983) which was down 3.07% to 9.46 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Shanghai Stock Exchange by 552 to 410.
