China’s manufacturing, services companies rise to 39.5 trillion yuan

BEIJING: According to national economic census, China’s manufacturing and services companies rose to 39.5 trillion yuan (US$6.3 trillion) at the end of 2014.

The number of companies was 50,000 more than in 2013, when the previous survey was conducted. The biggest single group was retailers, totaling 146,000, followed by manufacturers and rental service providers.
