At the time Zeng Yang said the Chinese business mission aims to support the private sector in Guinea-Bissau, “a good country to make investments” and pointed out that his own company has been present for over 10 years in Africa, particularly in Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya.

“We now intend to extend our activities to the countries of West Africa,” he said, adding that the visit by a business delegation to Guinea-Bissau is “a great opportunity for the fulfilment of that wish.”

The mission of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, which includes businessmen from different sectors, arrived in Bissau on Thursday and is expected to remain in Guinea-Bissau until the 8 October.
