Chinese customs issues import, export statistics data of July 2015

BEIJING: The Chinese customs authorities have released the export and import statistics for the month of July this year.

According to the data, the total imports of unwrought Nickel amounted to 46,362.0 mt during the month. The largest exporter of unwrought nickel to the country was Russia. The imports from Russia totaled 36,408.3 mt, accounting for more than 75% of the total imports by the country during the month. In second place was Canada with 2,484.6 mt, followed by Australia with 1,483.0 mt. The unwrought nickel imports during the initial seven month period of the year totaled 150,087.1 mt.

Meanwhile, the imports of Nickel Matte,Oxide and Sinter during July ‘15 totaled 18,783.1 mt.

The imports of Ferro-Nickel totaled 59,114.8 mt during the month. The largest exporter of Ferro-Nickel to the country was Indonesia. The imports from Indonesia totaled 13,379.9 mt, accounting for almost one-fourth of the total imports by the country during the month. In second place was New Caledonia with 10,643.5 mt. The Ferro-Nickel imports during the Jan-Jul period this year totaled 380,263.2 mt.

The imports of Nickel ore and concentrates by China during July ‘15 totaled 4.980 Million mt.The imports from Philippines topped the list. The Chinese imports from Philippines totaled 4.914 Million mt during the month. In second place was Australia with 19,626.1 mt. The cumulative Nickel Ore and concentrate imports by China during the initial seven months of the year totaled 19.466 Million mt.
