Chinese Customs provides excellent services for 25th East China Fair

SHANGHAI: The 25th East China Fair (ECF) was held at Shanghai New International Expo Center from March 1stto 5th, 2015. Shanghai Customs District adopted an array of measures to support this event, which was the first large exhibition held in the country after the Spring Festival Holidays. The measures employed by the Customs administration to enhance customs control while providing quality services included designating Customs officers to take care of the recording issues, opening special counters for the clearance of the event-related materials and beefing up on-site customs control services.

ECF, which is called the No.1 Foreign Trade Exhibition in spring in China, is an important regional trade fair held every year in East China. The 5-day- long 25thsession was held in 10 exhibition halls with 5,780 boots at Shanghai New International Expo Center. The event this year had a total exhibition area of 115,000 sqm which was divided into 5 sub areas among which 4 were for domestic enterprises and 1 with the theme of “modern lifestyle” for foreign enterprises. This year’s event attracted 204 foreign enterprises from Japan, South Korea and other 11 countries and regions.
