Chinese Customs seizes infringing goods worth RMB70,000

QINGDAO: Recently, the Post Office stationed by Qingdao Customs District successively seized three batches of commodities suspected of intellectual property rights (IPR) infringement, including ladies bags, casual shoes and sporting T-shirts, totally worth RMB70,000 or so. They were suspected of infringing on “LOUIS VUITTON”, “CONVERSE” and “Adidas” trademark rights.

On that day, when exercising control over export postal parcels, the Customs officers found some postal parcels to the UK similar in outer package, declared as “gift” but vague in mailing addresses. By open-package inspection, they seized 105 ladies bags suspected of infringing the trademark “LOUIS VUITTON”.
