Chinese delegation visits Gwadar port

GWADAR: A Chinese delegation visited Gwadar deep sea port to review arrangements for making it functional.

On the occasion, Gwadar Development Authority Director General Dr Sajjad Hussain Baloch gave a detailed briefing to the delegation on Gwadar Port, Gwadar City and other projects pertaining to Gwadar.

The Chinese delegation expressed their interest in investing in Gwadar City, steel industries, cement factories, fisheries, ship breaking yard, fibre boat making, tourism and others.

The delegation was informed that work on phase-1 of Gwadar was completed while feasibility report to connect it with Khanjrab via rail and road links was also prepared.

The Chinese officials offered their cooperation for provision of different civic facilities in Gwadar city including the electricity supply, sewerage system and others.
