Chinese minister Yu holds bilateral meeting with head of Italian Finance Police

HONG KONG: Minister Yu Guangzhou paid a visit to the headquarters of the Italian Finance Police and held a bilateral meeting with Lieutenant General Saverio Capolupo, Chief Commander of Italian Finance Police in Rome.

The two sides reviewed the bilateral cooperation in law enforcement and reached consensus in six aspects on further strengthening the cooperation. Firstly, to crack down the cross-border economic and financial crimes such as commercial frauds and money laundering. Secondly, to fight against the smuggling of endangered species of wildlife and its products. Thirdly, to combat drug smuggling and guns and ammunition smuggling. Fourthly, to establish a regular mechanism of liaison and coordination on enforcement. Fifthly, to discuss the signing of a memorandum of cooperation on bilateral enforcement as soon as possible. During the meeting, Minister Yu heard the introduction of Italian Finance Police and watched the training performance of the detector dogs. On that day, Minister Yu also visited Civitavecchia Customs District in Rome.
