In November 2014, police found a drug gang trying to traffick drugs from southwest China’s Yunnan Province to central Hubei Province through Hunan. Three suspects were caught on a highway by police, Liu said.

Other suspects were caught by police in different cities of these provinces between January to June, after a special investigation team knew their whereabouts and trading channels, he said.

Further investigation is under way.

Police in south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region also detained two drug traffickers and 40 kg of ketamine in another case.
