ISLAMABAD: People belonging to different walks of life are describing the upcoming visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Pakistan as very significant in terms of further augmenting economic relations.
Analyst Shahid Hassan Siddiqui said the visit of Chinese President would bring prosperity in Pakistan. The construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor had the potential to change the economic position of Pakistan because of its geographic location as well as the whole region, he said talking to Radio Pakistan Saturday.
Dr Huma Baqai said it was the first time in the country’s history that Chinese companies would directly invest here. She was confident that the Chinese investment would trigger economic revolution in Pakistan.
Former Director General ISPR Athar Abbass said China was helping Pakistan in different sectors, including defence and energy projects. He said that the upcoming visit of Chinese President would boost Pakistan’s economy as a number of agreements in the fields of energy and infrastructure would be signed.
