Chinese railway delegation arrives in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: A 13-member Chinese railway delegation headed by Lu Dongfu, Vice Minister, Ministry of Transport/ Administrator National Railways Administration China arrived here on a five-day visit on Saturday.

Secretary, Ministry of Railways Parveen Agha received the delegation, which will also visit Lahore, Havelian and Buldher, said a press release.

Later, the delegation visited Pakistan Railways Carriage Factory Islamabad where it was briefed by General Manager Asad Ehsan about the function of factory.

The delegation was informed that modern machinery had been installed at the factory for manufacturing of coaches and overhauling of old ones.

Lu Dongfu praised the quality of work during visit of different shops of factory. He said that cooperation in the field of railways would be beneficial for both the countries.
