NEW YORK: A massive bust was made involving a dangerously popular date rape drug.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officers at the Cincinnati express-consignment facility said they seized 120 pounds of a substance known as GBL in Ohio.
The shipment came from China and was headed to Canada. Once ingested GBL quickly converts to GHB, which renders victims unconscious.
Border patrol said the bust highlights a dangerous trend in Ohio.
Sine last April, agents have seized more than 600 pounds of illegally imported GBL in the area.
