MEXICO: Climate change is an environmental problem; we can even refer it as a nature problem that is caused by pollution, fossil fuels and other human activities, which have a direct or indirect impact on humans.
But climate change is now actually declared a medical emergency.
Perry Sheffield, M.D. The researcher from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sanai, New York, said, “Many Americans think of climate change as something far out and distant. They don’t realize how much it impacts them personally already. Even if you don’t think climate change is real, all of these changes have real health benefits. Apparently, what is good for the planet is also good for the people.”
Several new internationally recognized studies report that the global effects of climate will not only impact various simple species all over the planet but, in fact, could also bring out demise as well.
Maria Helena Semedo, FAO Deputy Director General Natural Resources said, “The growing threat of climate change to the global food supply, and the challenges it poses for food security and nutrition, requires urgent concerted policy responses.”
People generally think of climate change in terms of massive climatic events like an earthquake, or tsunami or famine, or any other natural disaster. But the truth of the matter is that slow and gradual rise in surface temperature is what will bring an end to life as we know it.
